Made in the UAE Competition
May 8, 2010

The “Made in the UAE” (MIU) competition will be held in conjunction with the 5th IEEE Student Day that will be held at the Petroleum Institute on Saturday May 8, 2010.

The “Made in the UAE” (MIU) competition aims at influencing research and developing activities in the UAE. It targets professionals in UAE. The top 3 winners will receive cash prizes. Participants will also get the chance to interact with students, faculty, and representatives from the industry.

Prizes

  • First Award: 2000 AED
  • Second Award: 1500 AED
  • Third Award: 1000 AED

Application Criteria

  • The competition is open to IEEE members and non-members. (Professionals and Graduates Students and are welcome to apply. Undergraduate Students should apply to the IEEE Student Day)
  • The projects submitted must be in the areas of Information Technology & Applied Engineering.
  • A working prototype, either SW or HW, must be fully functional at the end of the competition.

Registration

  • Please send your name, telephone number, address, project title, and a 200-word abstract by April 15th, 2010 to Dr. Fadi Aloul.
  • 10 applicants will be selected to participate and will be notified by April 20th, 2010.
